The Girl

I am a South African girl that loves waking up to find i still have another hour to sleep, rainy days, and huddling under a blanket with a good book and a cup of coffee. I drive a 1964 cream beetle, which is an absolute classic. And NO it is not Herbie, her name is Daisy and there is definitely a difference between cream and white!

I teach dancing at the most amazing studio. I am lucky to have the chance to work with such lovely friends and people. Donzelle Dance Studio has become my family throughout the past few years and losing them would break my heart. Dancing is what makes me happy. Dancing is like dreaming with your feet and i believe that one can dance anywhere even if it’s only with your heart. As Martha Graham said, “Dance is the hidden language of the soul.”

Another weakness i have is shoes. No woman can have enough pairs of shoes! This is a statement that I find myself constantly arguing with my dad and my boyfriend Matt. But being a woman i am always correct and they simply cannot win.

Then there is Matt, the love of my life. He is so amazing to me and a wonderful gentleman. He is the one that makes me laugh when i can only cry and makes me smile when i am down. He also constantly reminds me of what a pessimist i am, which helps me to try and better myself even more.
